As someone said, any coffee shop is your second or third home. But again, people converted it into either an access point to use toilet without even buying anything, or, opting for takeaways; omitting the page to read what coffee shops ought to have once meant, a place where, from the great literatures to revolutionary ideas were written or talked about. You may also call it Chai Pe Charcha, at the Tea Houses with good ambience! But honestly, less the talks or charcha, the more its flavor, & the more its delight.
Of course, if it’s near to any station or airport or university or college, the more Chaos one would witness. Thus, I don’t consider every coffee/tea shop/house, as a, ‘coffee/tea house’.The farther any Coffee or Tea house/shop from the above places, viz. university or airport or college or station; the more meaningful it becomes.
Constant chatter, excessive crowd, queue to use toilet; these are then in particular no Coffee or Tea Shop/House, rather, becomes an evening gossip local club, extracting the soul of Coffee/Tea houses in itself.
Of course, profits’ needs to be made, to maintain the vibrance & ambience of coffee shops. Indeed! But again, which one would you call or consider the TRUE coffee/tea house/shop? You decide! Constant Chatter! Commotion! Traffic Noise! Line for Toilet! Loud or Bad or Wrong Choice of Background Songs! OR; something, which is Opposite to this all? For me, it is the Opposite! 😊
