MAGA VS. IMMIGRATION standoff was anticipated & expected! I’m thankful it never turned violent. But first, how any nation marketed itself is an important aspect to contemplate! As a Pilgrimage, like Saudi Arabia! As a Company, like US! As a Service Provider, like India! As an Anime Capital, like Japan! As a Sweat Shop, like China! And so goes on! Now a few unrelated dots needs to be connected first before conclusion!
Let’s say Mr. Mandela’s communism/socialism, whichever way you want to frame him, indeed brought equality; but, from an economic standpoint, it didn’t leave a great mark for South Africa too! Apartheid ended, alas, the next chapter that opened was equally tremulous. Now, would Mr. Musk ever go back to South Africa as being a proud African emigrant to make South Africa great again? Nope! As India too is a mixture of all ideologue, yet, not everything worked everywhere, thus, would Vivek ever go back to India being a proud Hindu, to make India great again? Nope! Stretch this example ahead of the paradigm! Would Soros, The Rockefeller / Rothschild ever go back to Israel, being the only state of Jews, to make Israel great again? Nope! Same goes for Hispanics! Would the Indians who Emigrate anywhere, how many actually ever return back to their own nation? Close to None! Would Qatar accept the Syrian, Palestinian refugees ever and settle them in its own kingdom, the way it expect others to give reciprocal privileges? Nope! Did we expect the Colonialists, Invaders, War Mongers whether in Pre or Post World War, not to shatter lands, triggering emigration? Nope! Should emigration/immigration ought to have not restricted merely my dreams, my share? Yes! Should World ought to have not run by Charities & NGOs alone? Yes! In the above examples, you would find none, who would’ve said that I/We travelled without seeking either economic or political benefits!MAGA resurrected on the foundation of demanding De-Globalization which could’ve only be achieved VIA De-Dollarization! Correct? This is not I’m saying! This is what they said in the last fifteen years! Because when controlling the global economy is equivalent to globalism; then what was the problem with the earlier liberal/left governments? Should I further contend that, this is also true that the Political Leadership of 195+ Nations were incompetent enough in the last 70+ years that they couldn’t erect their own nations properly! Correct?
Look, there are many people who despise me! There are people, I despise! Would it be ethical to coerce anyone to love or like someone? Nope! Of course, I’m not talking about slandering anyone! Absolutely not!
Now, coming back to the First para, as how you market your own nation, also matters! If you marketed always as a Company, then be prepared that people would apply for Jobs as an Employee, NOT, as a Nationalist! And then, once the attrition rate, or, recession, commence, then the anger would always flow towards who came later or latter! DUBAI marketed itself an alternate investment city, thus, people who went there, went there for Business, not for Relationships. That’s why 90%+ people in DUBAI are Immigrants; which KSA never achieved, as, it initially, even today, market(ed) itself as a land of pilgrimage!
Thus, when Mr. Musk said, we must allow the top of the top engineers, then what does that mean? That you’ve always marketed the nation as a Company, not as a Nation; so, people would come as Employees, and want to grow as Employees, not Nationalists! What MAGA was expecting was otherwise, i.e., Nationalism, which was technically unachievable! And had that not been the case, then US would’ve been another Switzerland, or Monaco; not US! Please Understand! 😊
