Mr. Musk’s stance against Brazil & Australia being termed as unwarranted & inconsistent by many in the Press. Is it merely because his inclination towards the right, thus going against contentions made? Or, is it truly unwarranted as being questioning sovereignty of others? Or is it because indeed supporting penalties against social media companies in case of misinformation & disinformation? These are the dilemmas the Press is going through these days.
I’ve noticed one thing in my life. Let’s say a person moves from Delhi to Chennai, or vice versa. Or maybe from one nation to another. The locals inhabited there would either implicitly or explicitly expect all to sail in accordance with the flow of evolution therein. They’re not wrong technically, as they’ve evolved alike that only, and evolution can’t be altered overnight. Not possible! Now, narrow down this above approach of evolution, and you would see, within any specific land itself, people would want to flow in accordance to specific terms & conditions. And thus, distinct ideologies evolved, again, not overnight! And this we’ve witnessed whether in case of French revolution, or USSR, or 1989 China, or Arab Spring, or B’Desh and so on. This is also true that such revolutions never resulted in a more liberal society either. We’ve seen that incessant times.
Now, nothing wrong if you’re against any ruling or provision. The left contends for the minorities, just alike, Mr. Musk rightfully contending for the right, in the West World.
The dilemmas are supposed to be expansive in perspectives. There may be no solution. Maybe ‘’AS IS’ == ‘Absolute’. Maybe upending anything in its entirety would bring difference. And indeed, alas, nothing of these solutions would work either. Entropy!😊
