This is too good to be true, but if CNN has truly shut down its standalone Opinion Section as shown, then this is the way Mainstream ought to have worked.

Contrary to what Silicon Valley’s & its Reimbursed metaphorical Critics Laundering Program in the last 10-12 years has done to the Internet. And a person like me, who consume News only VIA Mainstream, and Never VIA Social Media Platforms; despite of the fact that even I know what the Mainstream publishes is never the whole story and shouldn’t be trusted in absolute; YET, I still watch and consume NEWS VIA Mainstream’s well-learned accomplished Writers; and merely Sip it, like a coffee or tea. Why?
Take this example. There are good doctors and there are bad doctors; but a doctor is a doctor; and regarding anatomy of any body, at the end of the day, you’ve to take knowledge from any good doctor only, and not from Social Media. Similarly, there are good journalist writers and there are bad journalist writers, thus for any news, you’ve to read any good journalist's writing only with First Hand information, and not being copy pasted from different articles or books or wiki.And, if this is indeed true, I’m thankful for shutting down of the section of standalone Opinionators. Such sections can be driven in a separate organization, as, at least, one would be knowing what to expect in return.
Further I understand, there’re some really great Writers/Columnists/Minds who would get affected, despite their analysis on Paper without pointing fingers on anyone, is always commendable; yet, for a larger good, this is a good decision; again, if it’s true!😊
