According to MIT's article as shown below, it says: logos (reasoned argumentation) + ethos (trustworthiness) + pathos (emotional resonance) == should be political statements; (If I’m not wrong)! And what the Data Companies did, was taking only the pathos out of the equation, and weaponized it aka datafied, whilst the logos and ethos were being thrown out, when fueling the DATA on the Internet. It gave examples of CA (Cambridge Analytica) w.r.t. 2016 elections and 2018 (BREXIT) only; mostly pointing out right wing on the wrong side of the page, than what the modern left-liberals did on the mainstream. NOW:
herein, the Learned respectable authors themselves admit that such tools can be sold easily
to the highest bidder, which include the wealthy group of modern liberal-leftists, or even terror groups; as the Authors were mentioning a tool A/B testing; that can be used to achieve the most persuasive messaging!But there’s a catch in it, according to me. Such tools could accomplish only a part of the messaging, not in its entirety. Honestly, no one ever mentioned when this whole degradation of the internet was even started! It all started with the Anti-Trump, Anti-Modi, Anti-Bolsonaro, Anti-Johnson etc. etc. campaign; and it was very easy to run that because, again, the Right is restricted to their own territories, and no one bothers what the Right says or doing whether in Argentina or Japan or Chile etc.; UNTIL; Anti-Trump or Anti-Modi messaging started circulating on social media buttressed by the Internet and Social Media giants (thanks to Section 230), because, the entire OIC, so-called Left-Liberal, China, half of Indian Population, were able to easily run this, and as the companies also got more Revenues due to their number of clicks policy.
In the above tool, atleast CA didn’t pay individually nor reimbursed to anyone, what I call in the metaphorical Critics Laundering Program on the Internet, wherein the laundered critics were being reimbursed to amplify certain narratives against certain individuals and people. I also called out against their Policy of Number of Clicks == Reimbursement to the User + Revenue for the Company absolutely UNETHICAL & WRONG!
Tell me one thing, did any one check the arbitrarily distribution of Blue Tick started back then in 2013-14, and the mainstream making it a big affair, wherein most of the careers evolved out of thin air, merely being critic and having the blue tick of someone? Did anyone check with the YT’s reimbursement on the Political Narratives, and how that money was being distributed? Did the Right also receive the same share in it who were maybe Pro-Trump or Pro-Modi etc.? Show me the DATA! And were such Right, being displayed on the front page of the search engine or platform, when that APP or Web Portal is opened; the said issue I’ve already explained in my earlier blog also, that if MY Mammoth ORIGINAL DATA on the Internet, all in accordance with the BERNE Convention, in accordance with the Reciprocal Treaties; without targeting individuals, parties, and even if have been done, then done in a very subtle and decent manner that it would look like a humor; and maintaining the sanctity of the above equation; YET, if My Mammoth DATA and its AUTHOR, i.e. ME, isn’t even visible on the first/second/third page on the search engine with My Name; UNTIL being asked to correct it, or optimize it, or hiring PR trash; then the problem isn’t with the A/B testing tool or CA alone, as the moment you’re monetizing political commentaries; then like a magnet, its followers, would get attracted to each other, as they would want to hear and witness the same, what they always intend to.
