Remember, Malvika Joshi’s case in Mumbai, wherein she was denied admission in the colleges as she didn’t have Formal Schooling, but was Excellent in Coding, YET, was rejected for college admissions in India, because again, of this outlandish education format system followed since Independence. Until, MIT (Massachusetts Institute of technology) came for her rescue and gave admission to her on the basis of her SKILLS only.
For more than a decade now, I’m writing that our education system format is not only outlandish, but outdated as well, as, just because the West started this concept of 10+2+3/4+2 or whatever, and India succumbed to it. West gained because they laid this barrier for people to fly/flock in search for dollars, to become their Workmen! Until West itself every then and now is standing on the verge of from World Wars to Recessions to Civil Wars. While in India, from Originality to Inventions, all suffered! Thanks to the Cabal of Tuition/Coaching Classes, who’ve left no stone unturned to make this happen, allowed by the political environment, as without their help, they cannot even move an inch.
You’ve these IITians with Engineering Degrees, at the end of the day disbursing Loans being Analysts in the Banking Sector, or, being PR Agents, or, Portfolio Managers, or, Comedians. What LOGIC? Yet, they consider themselves as Engineers, wherein even a Coder from NIIT/Aptech Institute can also make Web Portals / Apps! Right or Wrong?
Forget about today’s NEET controversy. Even if everything goes fine or filtered without any issue, what is the guarantee that who scored 1st Rank in NEET / NTA / JEE / UPSE Or Any Other Entrance Test in the Past/Present/Future, had/would end(ed) up doing something Great in their own field? Do we’ve DATA available corroborating the same? ISRO’s Scientists’ aren’t from IITs, nor from any great Institutes, YET, they achieved the unachievable below the Cost bestowed. Isn’t this also true that behind every recession in the World, there’s a failed Ivy League mind involved!
Problem is the political environment of India that is scared of Originality/Inventions; that’s why to protect such environment, they would recruit anyone who can keep the status-quo intact. Again, building something in their own image. And thus, in many years, zoom out and for once, look, at the image!
And always remember one famous story, that to set an example against theft, a man was being hanged in the public, yet the public who was witnessing that; was silently robbed by a robber! 😊
