I’m not going into the case details, but, compare these two case studies.
Mr. Trump was criticized for claiming that 2020 US elections being rigged. Fine! But look at another example. Many Indian Politicians, Journalists in India, before or after every Indian election, criticize -> from EVMs to Election Commission; and such thoughts are being amplified on the mainstream. Not only that, if someone time-travel back in the past, let’s say merely two decades, or the era before the EVMs were introduced; then one might witness in that era, existence of booth capturing of ballot boxes in many parts of India. Right?
Now, EVMs were a better option, indeed, no doubt. And despite knowing this truth; even today, and before every election in India, you would read & hear Politicians, Journalists criticizing EVMs to Election Commission, further chanting death of democracy etc. So, what’s this? Isn’t this too undue influence? And if not, or if it’s, I would suggest, better go & do the comparative analysis between these two Case Studies by yourself.
And why I cited these two case studies? Because now the same Journalists & Politicians who criticize(d) EVMs, E.C. before or after every election in India; may be supporting the indictment of Mr. Trump on the same issue, which is a contradictory position!
And all what I'm saying is that in Politics, one side would always accuse another of some or the other thing, valid or invalid! 😊
