Why,
When & How Bollywood became analogous to ‘Masala’ Entertainer? Further,
what was the significance of when the likes of Martin Scorsese compared MCU
films not with Cinema, but with Theme Parks? Why one would witness
outside the house of any Actor in India whether in Bandra, Mumbai; or South
India, tons of people on weekends gathering, merely to get the glimpse of the
Bollywood Entertainers, ratifying devolution of society? Why the likes of Guru Dutt failed
in India, despite being part of the kind of Cinema, that was indispensable for Bollywood
to save itself?
Bollywood is basically a representation, rather, a cinema or art.
You’ve representatives of nations from Pakistan to Turkey to Mid-East+ to India, & further, representatives of communities’ itself; rather, Artists representing Cinema. So, you’ve these multi multimillionaire representatives, rather, multimillionaire artists. And furthermore, if the flicks start becoming successful merely because of casting, rather, theme or plot; then that’s where that cinema as such, is a sinking ship; irrespective of the revenue it generates per flick.Bollywood
had/has a severe problem with Nepotism. But when the likes of Tom Hanks also
started chanting about Cinema being equaled to as a Family Business;
that moment it became clear, the decline of Hollywood too is indispensable;
as cinema; irrespective of the revenue it generates per annum.
When
I witness the journalists publishing daily calendar activities of the kids of
these Entertainers in mainstream; & further the swarm of people standing
outside the house of any such Entertainer; the devolution of society is confirmed.
These aren’t admirers but detestable.
An
artist should be representing cinema & art, as an artist; not countries’ or
communities’.
So
the issue might be with the Board Room & the Directors (the selected few
representatives), taking decisions. The rest are mere employees, getting
salaries, & doing what the public wants, which in turn (good or bad)
is buttressed by the selected few representatives.
