A mile sometimes turns
into thousands,
Thousand more, yet
destinations never converge;
A mile in
opposite can end an uncharted quest,
If directions on billboard or a map conferred.
A thousand miles
in desert can be blissful,
Matters what or
who in the walk joins beside;
A mile in forest with
trees sky high may turn grisly,
If no fruits
replenish, streams infested, nor shade to hide.
A thousand miles endured
if could engulf in arms the sun,
Alas, mere a mile
opposite that glitter but reeks; seeks no one.
No matter how
longer one walked or covered myriad miles,
If there’s no destination,
yet walked, then that wasn’t destined! 😊
