What’s, a Citizen?

A king 'now & then' has to be complicit as he ain’t saint,

As whenever wherever pleaded? In aftermath-> pain!

But what makes a citizen of any land as decreed,

When echoed being kindred to, maybe of distinct creed!

Imprudent assumptions that trust lies in who bloomed,

Wherever planted, as such are lies when presumed!

Distinction in being citizen or mere inhabitant, is futile,

As what worth who bloomed wherever planted only to bite?

And if gnawed once then would in the long run end?

Could patrons amplify such traits with confidence?

Excellence of any inhabitant depends if disavowed,

To any ackers made accessible to plant all foul.

An outlandish then conception of being as citizen,

As one who’s close only sully first, come any season;

Empires fell not when the King exceeded control,

But when low-slung resented cognitions bought & sold.
