Time when Sphere enwreathed
with smoke & flames,
Lands skedaddled making
friends or foes or who to blame;
The Kingdom that once
conquered from east to west,
As no sight was left or
weapons more to rule,
Potentates fell with lands
ingurgitating wounds;
Amidst Birth of free will,
more rose for throne,
Though 'Bread & Circus' shalt
now not be ignored.
Demesne where souls were free to
sail across shores,
Structure engraved with 'Assuage'
that buttressed as core;
The gladiators fought some day,
animals sometimes,
Some 'Welcomed' it while some 'Despair'
rhymed.
