Recently a senior public servant while disclosing her assets termed her daughters as liabilities coz they are unmarried. Is it so?
Well the answer lies in our outlandish social structure. The extravagant expenditure what people expect from the girl's family is unfortunate even in these times. There must be some laws to preclude these outlays. Some recommendations-
1. Make both the parties to disclose the assets before spending.
2. Bring a law for both sides to pool in the money in equal amount and register it in any forum being established by the government.
3. Limit the amount of expenditure according to the earnings.
Its deplorable to see the existence of such philosophies which end up calling women as liabilities.
